The first book of Moses talks about Genesis. Immediately after, in the Second Book of Moses, it is about Exodus. Although in the book of Genesis we encounter basic conflict situations, embodied primarily as the struggle between good and evil, in the Second Book of Moses we have, among other things, the thematicization of the collective undesirable other. That "unwanted other", the Jewish people who lived in captivity for 400 years and who multiplied too much in Misir, "threatening" the dominant status of the Egyptian race, finds, with God's help, a way to free themselves from unbearable slavery and go to the Promised Land.
